I purchased this back in December 2023 for my Sig Sauer p320 that I use for work. I run a Safariland 6360-7502 holster and have no issues with running the Surefire X300.
Overall, installation was quick and easy. The switch works as advertised, so no problem there. The issue that I ran into is that it is extremely difficult to remove the gun out of the holster due to the being no gap between the switch and the holster. So what happens when I go to draw the gun, is that the rubber on the switch rubs against the holster which binds up the gun.
I like the idea, but I'll be using this on one of my range/home guns. Not for work.
Pros:
- easy to assemble
- Easy activation
- Light weight,
Best Used for:
- Home Defense.
- Duty if you have the right holster

I have been training with the DG switch and it helps knowing that I can activate my light with only one had. The only difficult part is finding a holster that accommodates the DG switch. Safariland is the best bet for DG switch holsters.

Put this on my Springfield 1911, great fit. Great for CQ situations, home defense in the dark. Another great product from surefire. A bit pricey, but your paying for the name too. Fast shipping, great price.

well made, easy to install, momentary (not clickie), works as expected, allows one-hand operation of whatever seeting you wish, momentary, just hard enough pressure that you can decide when you want the light on (vs it always going on whenever gripped). not cheap but worth it if you're serious about your defense firearm.
one note: due to the long stiff extention, i worry about it being hit sideway, possibly damaging it, so i wrap a short piece of electrician's tape around it and the trigger guard. easy to remove when replacing batteries. its likely not a problem, but gives me peace of mind...

This is an AWESOME Addition to your weapon light/laser it makes using them so much easier to use all you have to do is grip your weapon a little tighter to activate your Light or Laser or both at the same time not only does it make it easier it makes it so much safer because you don't have to change your grip on your weapon to activate the Light/Laser I use one on all my weapons with SUREFIRE Light/Lasers on them my Duty Weapon and my Home Defense Weapons. The only advice that I will give you is if you have a Sig Sauer P226 make sure you don't get the Tailcap Switch DG-23 for the P226 it is for the Older Sig Sauers that didn't come with a rail and they had to add one the DG-23 will not fit your newer Sig Sauer P226 with a rail the Tailcap Switch you will probalby need is a DG-14.
Pros:
- Easier to use Light/Laser
Best Used for:
- Duty/Patrol/Tactical/Home Defense

Amazing product! It takes a little getting used to operating the light with pressure from your middle finger but it is a essential tool! Just make sure the holster you use it with can acomadate the switch.

This is an incredibly well-engineered product. At the touch of a finger on the pressure pad, you immediately have complete control over your weapon light with your natural grip. I highly recommend this product since it allows you to keep your most important finger on the trigger.
Pros:
- Slim design
- Easily activated
- Low profile, wrap around design

I use this switch with a GLOCK 24 MOS. It works great and most surefire products do. I find that the pressure switch is perfect for my hand size and strength. By this I mean that it requires dedicated pressure and will not turn on as a result of a solid grip on the gun. There for you eliminate accidental back-lighting of your partner or the risk of giving up your position while working at night while screwing around with your weapon light. You still have the option of using the 3 way switch which is great and it has not provided me any issues with the holsters I use.
Hope this helps anyone in the market that is scared of by some of Surefire prices, they are worth it!
Pros:
- solid construction
- convienient
- Easy instal
- Solid connection with gun
- no extra modification needed

The DG switches are the only way to run a pistol mounted light. It allows you to use a separate light as a search light and this as a fight light. Would like to see something more durable on the outside similar to Streamlights as I have worn the rubber coating off of previous switches but wouldn't run a gun another way.
Pros:
- Easy - Ergonomic, just grip it
Cons:
- Rubber coating wears off from holster

Overall, a great product, allowing one-handed light activation so your free hand can open doors or guide family members behind you. However, the unit needed to be filed down in order to lock into the slot on the pistol; it absolutely would not fit without this modification.
Pros: SureFire reliability, One-Handed Operation
Cons: Fit Issues
