The Z59 tail cap fits on several Surefire models such as the 6P, Z2,
C2 and G2. In my opinion, it's a necessary upgrade for any of these flashlights—especially if you are using them in a tactical situation—since Surefire ships them all with a twist-on tail cap.
I tried this tail cap on two different flashlights: the 6P LED and the G2 LED.
The Z59 Tail cap is nice— it works great on both lights. The Z59 has a smooth action and is engaged more easily than the tail caps which are stock on some of the other Surefire lights such as the E series. The on/off switch of Z59 is also recessed a bit more than the tail caps on the E series, so even though it does engage slightly more easily, I have not had a problem with the light being accidentally turned on in my bag—I don't use the lockout feature.
The Z59 is just about the same length as the stock 6P tail cap and less than 1/8 of an inch longer than the stock G2 tail cap.
As of now, I am using it on my 6P LED since the twist-on tail cap on the 6P takes a bit more effort to engage than the twist-on tail cap on the G2.
Like everyone else: I wish Surefire shipped all of their lights with this tail cap instead of the twist-on tail caps.
Pros: Makes your light easier to use
Cons: This tail cap should be stock with all Surefire lights
