Most Helpful Positive Review Great light
High quality light, very compact and fits nicely on my vp9. Battery cap has lots of threads and shouldn’t cross thread anytime soon. Finish is a nice black and should match anything you throw it on...
Most Helpful Negative Review mounting lock snapped
first time installing the weapon light the mounting lug snapped with very little force, I'd expect more from a surefire product. Everything else seemed well put together. toggle switches felt responsive and well thought out. 300 lumens with no hot spot was nice.

Disappointingly Anemic

by Dennis, from NH, United States Written on October 15, 2021
Although I appreciate the idea of a AAA weapon light for some circumstances, I feel like surefire has missed the mark for a compact weapon light. Surefire has absolutely been the standard for a "full size" handgun light, but their "compact" handgun lights seem to be missing the mark. Ideally I wish surefire had just made a single cell CR123 light similar to the TLR7.
If you're looking for a AAA pistol light than it's great.
If you have a full size handgun or a compact with a comp, get the X300.
If you have a compact and you want the most amount of light while maintaining the same overall length, look at the TLR7.
Pros:
  • Typical great surefire quality
  • AAA (If that's your thing)
Cons:
  • Low output
  • Not CR123 like the vast majority of other weapon lights that you probably own
Best Used for:
  • Compact handguns where CR123s are not available

Great weapon light

by RJ, Verified Owner from ME, United States Written on May 28, 2021
This is quite a weapon light for my Sig P320C. Unfortunately it does not fit on my Wilson Combat grip module, but that is not the light’s fault. I swapped out grips for my stock grip and it attaches fine. Extremely bright and light weight for such a tiny thing. It’s cool. This will be my home defense weapon and I don’t have to worry about flashlight manipulation when I hear something go bump in the night. The light is also blinding if you are on the receiving end. Certainly give you the advantage.
It’s not cheap though. I still can’t believe I paid $250 for it. They should have included a battery charger. Otherwise, I am anticipating this is a lifetime purchase for a weapon light.
Pros:
  • bright
  • intuative activation, no switches
  • Ligh weight
Cons:
  • No battery charger
Best Used for:
  • Home defense

Very Upset

by Cain, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on April 2, 2021
I ordered this light to put on my Sig P320C for when I carry. I have had the light on my pistol for a little over a month but never shot with it on. I recently took it to the range and shot not even 50 rounds through my P320C when the light when flying off the pistol while shooting. It came loose around 22 rounds, so I re-tightened the light and continued to shoot. Somewhere around 42 rounds is when the light flew off the pistol due to the locking mechanism of the light breaking in half. I am very upset with this product as I am a huge fan of SureFire products. I see other comments saying similar to what I had happened and I would not recommend this light for anyone due to these issues, especially for the price of the light.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Broke
  • Cheap
  • Falty

  • bright
  • Small
Cons:
  • None

Compact and bright

by JBMinnesota, from MN, United States Written on August 22, 2018
I have 2 XC1s. The original which was 200 lumens and the newest XC1b which is 300 lumens. I like the flood light aspect. It's definitely bright enough in low light conditions. The compact nature of the XC1 is fantastic and fits my leather holster business application beautifully.
