Survival Optics Military / Desert Shield Goggles, Sand Camo Frame, Pc Anti Fog Brown 2.0mm Lens

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on April 3, 2013
I live in the Northern Sonoran Desert Foothills located 40 miles north of the Phoenix, Arizona valley. I hike every day in the north and west desert on rocky, dusty remote trails in bright sunshine and in hot weather conditions. I wear a 5-inch-brimmed straw hat and these brown-lens goggles for sun protection. As I am on-the-lookout for snakes along the trails the brown lenses provide excellent clarity and contrast of the desert floor and they provide excellent glare and UV protection. I wear a bandana on my head under the hat and even when the ambient temperature reaches 100 degrees-plus my sweat does not cause the lenses to fog or the insides to get wet. The fit of the goggles is excellent on my head and the shielding protects my eyes from insects pestering you - seeking the moisture from around your eyes and our occasional dust-devils (dirt tornadoes). I wear these brown lenses right into the sunset times and I still see well before taking them off. I plan on purchasing the Survival Optics Model 2004-PC Anti-fog Clear Lens goggles to protect my eyes after sunset. A great buy for the money!
Pros: Clear Field of Vision; No distortion; Excellent Clarity; Very Comfortable.
Cons: None - You get what you pay for, so take good care of them and they will take good care of you and your eyes.

Anti-fog? Somewhat

I found these fogged up just a little when wearing a Shemagh. Im sure it's nothing a little fog juice can't fix. Good Product :)
Pros: Very Clear, Protective, Fit pretty well
Cons: Fogs up a little bit with heavy breathing
