I have yet to attach the blade to a staff, but I am well pleased with the equality. I have access to a machine which measures the hardness of metal. The Rockwell machine (as we call it) measured the hardness at 58 on the Rockwell "C" scale. Hard enough to last a long time and easy to sharpen. A worthy purchase.
