Most Helpful Negative Review Really cool idea but hard to use
I really like the idea of a wrist compass. I actually tried to use this for Orienteering. I found this was hard to use because I could never tell if I was holding it level enough. If you don't hold it fairly level the compass hangs up and will give a false reading. I could never be confident that it was reading correctly.

Compass on hand

by R. Ortiz, from VA, United States Written on April 20, 2021
Purchased this as another piece of equipment to supplement my hiking GPS unit. It is a simple design and easy to use. A military style compass would be more useful than this one. This would definitely work well as a back up compass, car (bug out) bag, hiking bag or any gear bag.

Great value.

Still a well made and rugged (surprisingly accurate) compass. A wrist compass is NOT for orienteering, you need a lensatic compass to do that well. I use this for those times when I lose sight of a landmark or have to go cross country and need a rough bearing quickly. It also came in handy on a taxi drive from the Airport when the cabbie was attempting to "show me the sights". The illumination of the dial is even better than the last one I had. One cab ride saved me more than the cost of the wrist compass, I know somebody who got the ride the driver was going to take me on.

Where is the wristband?

by Brz, from CA, United States Written on May 27, 2017
The he concept is good. However it Arrived with no wristband. If they have a brain they will make it wit tritium and make the mount so you can attach it to a wristwatch. Twhat way military can use it versus ducking under a poncho wit a light.
