Most Helpful Negative Review Nice sight but….

The sight looks great. Doesn’t go bright enough for daylight with snow. Shake awake is pretty rough. You really have to shake it pretty hard.

Swampfox Fanboy for Life!

I just received my Sentinel II green dot shipped for free from Swampfox. It's a fantastic optic. I was a happy customer of the original Sentinel green dot that I bought from Optics Planet almost 3 years ago. Just a couple weeks ago my optic went way out of zero and then died completely. I contacted Swampfox customer support and had a fantastic response. They were very courteous and supportive and approved and RMA for my 3 year old optic at their expense. They then gave me 100% credit toward a brand new Sentinel II and shipped that to me for free. What a great company. They earned a customer for life in me!

Awesome ��!!! I recommend SwampFox for sure. I've had the SwampFox Liberty1 for 4 years and I've had the Sentinel2 for about 2 years. I've had Zero issue's.

Great optic for a fraction of the price. Don't be confused though build quality seems right on par with all the heavy hitters in the industry. Haven't had a chance to put anything down range yet but having the ability to co-witness with the optional rear sight I know I'm at least on paper at 15 yds.

Low Quality and Unreliable

I've had three of these dots, all of them had issues in under a year and less than 1,000 rounds. I carried one for everyday for almost a year straight, it held zero very well, the green dot was decently crisp and round. The finish on the metal differed drastically between all three of them straight out of the box. The glass coating differed between them as well. The shake awake is hit or miss, requiring violent shaking to turn on, if it turns on at all. There are higher quality dots for less money, I do not recommend buying this dot. DO NOT CARRY THIS DOT.

Swampfox Sentinel II 1x20 Dot Sight (Green)

Currently running a Swampfox Sentinel II on my P365 X Macro with the Ironsides Stainless Steel Shields and first thing you notice about it, is how aesthetically pleasing the optic looks paired with the shield. It looks and feels robust. Easy installation. Fired off 500+ rds and the optic and shield remains intact. This is a stellar beginner friendly optic that was easy to install. The dot is crisp and easy to find on target. The shake to wake is extremely effective when unholstering. I'd say the only downside is having to uninstall the optic to change the battery, but other than that, it functions as advertised. One thing to keep in mind: if you intend on running the back up iron sights, you might have to swap out your front sight for something taller to be able to co-witness.

Crisp dots, well made, good adjustable brightness, uses a fairly common button battery, holds zero solid.

bottom loaded battery

My EDC Optic

This is my first Swampfox product. I was hesitant in my decision to purchase it because I couldn’t find enough reviews, but so far, this has been a pretty nice red dot. I love the design. It has a modern look to it and it feels durable. I mounted this site on my Ruger Max 9 and it fits like a glove. Although the battery is bottom mounted, it’s not an issue for me. I like the fact it has an option to add the rear site in front of the optic. It’s a good backup if the battery dies. The 3 MOA seems pretty typical and it looks clear. It seems to have all the hardware needed to mount it to your gun. No complaints as of now.

Swampfox Sentinel II 1x20 Red Dot sight

Great red dot! This product was reviewed in an article comparing top name red dots sight to economical red dots. the review directed me to Optics Planet and have purchased several items from company.

Mounting was easy, and did not have to adjust the sight once installed and have put 100 rounds through the pistol with sight installed.

Use: no issues with the shake and wake feature, turning on and off is very easy, and very happy with this product, and will look for more Swampfox products in the near future when needed.

Optics Planet Customer Service: Great and consistent; I called this order in and went smoothly, no issues.

Decent Optic

Overall I like this optic and its features for the price. Shake awake is important feature to me. Having the ability to mount a rear site turns out to be a nice feature that I've not seen on other optics. Only issue is that the battery compartment is on the bottom so you'd need to take the optic off to replace the battery, then remount and re-zero it. Guess this is the one compromise for an optic at its price point.
