great 3x prism sight if you have an astigmatism.
Since there is a rather inconveniently placed delete button on the side of the comment box and this is the 3rd time I am writing this review I'm give the condensed commentary. Great eye box, reticle etching, and contsruction. Uses a CR123a battery. Prism optics are great for people affected by astig...

Poor eye relief
I haven’t yet taken this scope out to the range, but in all honesty I probably won’t. The eye relief is just bad. I have the scope set as far back on the upper as possible and I’m seeing about 80% site picture with substantial parallax. The eye relief as built is about 3-1/2, but in order to get a f...

Nice, but heavy
The glass and reticle is great, as is the quality of the build, however it’s very heavy. Primary Arms SLx Microprism is competitively priced and blows Swampfox out of the water (sorry dudes).
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- WAY TOO HEAVY
Would recommend: Yes
Huge sight picture, bright, and a tab heavy
This Swampfox 3x prism met my expectations, no questions asked..the eye relief isn't TERRIBLE and with astimatism I can see it clear and chrisp. The brightness is also very effective, so much so you can see it from the other end if turned on all the way. Also very easy to do the close the one end and use both open eyes for cqb (20yrds or less) method due to the large viewbox your eyes easily achieve the aforementioned effect.
Pros:
- bright
- Field of view, clarity
Cons:
- Lil Heavy
- almost to bright
Best Used for:
- 20yrds or more
Would recommend: Yes
beefy, but very good.
I was skeptical when I opened the box and went “that’s bigger than I thought.” But I must say it’s probably the widest, clearest viewing I’ve ever scene on 3x? I think it beats a lot 5x prisms to be honest. It’s crystal clear. Glass is etched well so it works without power. It is beefy. It’s not awkward, but it’s close

Incredible value
When I was shopping for an optic for my 6.5 Grendel AR-15, my criteria was a good quality prism scope with an MOA or MRAD reticle that didn't break the bank. To my surprise, there are not many options on the market that fit that criteria, mainly due to the MOA/MRAD reticle. It seems that most prism scopes use a BDC reticle, which I do not like because those only work for specific cartridges for specific calibers with specific barrel lengths. I like MOA/MRAD reticles because they are universal.
Long story short, the Swampfox Trihawk fit the criteria. Although it is budget-friendly, it seems pretty durable. I wouldn't expect ACOG-level of durability, but it is also a quarter of the price of an ACOG. The glass is clear, the reticle is crisp, and the eye relief is okay (not great but it is comparable to similar options). The field-of-view is great, and that is probably what stands out the most for the Trihawk.
The other feature that stands out to me is the reticle. The center lines of the reticle are fine and crisp so as not to cover your view of the target, and the outer circle is a bit thicker to allow for quick target acquisition.
As an added bonus, this optic comes with removable flip-open lens covers and a honeycomb sunshade.
My only major gripe about the Trihawk is the non-quick detach integrated mount. As I have stated previously, the eye relief isn't necessarily bad, but the way the mount is designed prevents me from mounting it as far back as I would like. Since the ...

Good reticle haven’t tested her out yet
But the quality looks good and easy to align with a bore laser

Great all around AR Optic
I really like this Optic, as it's a great all-around optic. It's got "shake awake," which is great as it's always on once you pick up your rifle. It shuts down after you put your rifle in your secure storage, and automatically comes back on once you pick it up. It's got 3x and a BDC reticle and on the one I have an illuminated green reticle, which is great for "older" eyes for short to mid-range shooting. A very good all-around optic at reasonable price.

Could use some improvements
I was not expecting this to be an ACOG killer and it did serve its purpose but at the end of the day it ended up on a range toy. The glass is crystal clear and the etched reticle is perfect. The eye relief is awful and the integrated mount does not make any room for back up sights.
maybe if it were QD or skeletonized it would be a better mount.
eye relief causes the optic to be so far back on the rail.
finish scratches easy

Good robust optic.
Good prism optic for the price. It is a bit chonky compared to say a primary arms prism that I was familiar with and feels extremely robust. They don't lie when they say the eye box is short. I did find it hard to use on a rifle with what I would consider an average length of pull. I ended up mounting this on an X95 Tavor and found it to be a perfect match. It looks like it was made for it. I would highly recommend this optic for any bullpup configuration.
Pros:
- value
- Durability
- Large FOV
Cons:
- Short eye relief
Best Used for:
- Bullpups

Excellent optic
This is my first mid range optic that was over $100, and this was money well spent. Eye relief is a little close(I hear this is common with prism sights in general), but you get used to it pretty quick since the eye box is really good. FOV is incredible. The FOV gives you a ton of awareness of your surroundings making it easy to find your target. Love that it uses cr123 batteries so I don't have to carry around yet another battery type. Reticle is also very nice. Illumination isn't day bright so it could be brighter, but it's an etched reticle so not a big deal. 9/10 because of the price.
Pros:
- Build quality
- reticle
- fov
Cons:
- Illumination brightness
- Eye relief (minor)
Would recommend: Yes
