SA5 folding adapter
The adapter works and is very sturdy. Being made of steel, though, it is quite heavy. I’m giving this three stars not based on the adapter itself but rather the hollow plug extension that I needed to buy ($30) in addition from Sylvan Arms so I can use my Armaspec stealth buffer. The plug would not fit into multiple bolt carriers. I had to take the bolt carrier to a gunsmith and he had to put it in a lathe and then used sandpaper wrapped around a punch to slowly take off enough metal on my brand new JP enterprises bcg ($390) for the extension to pop into place. It seems to work now although I have not shot the gun yet. Just a fair warning that you may have problems if you’re running a similar setup.
Pros:
- very sturdy
- Added the length I needed to use an MDT SCS stock
Cons:
- Plug adapter did not fit and had to spend more at a gunsmith to fix a brand new part

I always research before I buy and it paid off. Nothing is better. Money well spent.
