Tac Fire .308 brake 5/8 x 24 - TC COMPASS .308
Awesome brake! Appears high quality and went on easy no problems. Attached to a Thompson Center Compass .308 and timing with crush washer was at 2 o' clock. Can't wait to try it out! Optics Planet, awesome like always.
Soft Metal
Soft metal was used to make this... I used a screwdriver to tighten this on the crush washer I used and it bent part of the openings on the side of the muzzle. Would not buy again. There are others out there you can spend a little more on with better quality. 2 stars because it functions as a muzzle device.

Works great!
I installed this muzzle brake on my TC Compass 30 06 and I must say I’ve been very pleased thus far. I had to use a shim kit to get the brake timed just right, the crush washer just wouldn’t do the job. The recoil has decreased a very noticeable amount, gases are dispersed very nicely. I plan on purchasing another one for my AR 10 6.5 Creedmoor build.

Tacfire Muzzle Brake
while I am sure this thing works, I received the wrong part. the one I did receive, is poorly machined and scratched up. it was sent in a plain manila padded envelope, no receipt and no responses from two emails sent to Optics Planet about this part. it is not what I expect from them, looks like it was machined in a garage. This is very unusual in my experience from Optics planet, but I am hopeful to get it straighten out.

Get ready to file!
I had to file down the muzzle brake because it needed a whole 1/4 rotation in order to time it. After about 1 hour of filing and checking for fitting, I finally got it where I was able to tighten and time. I had to use a screw driver that I padded and stuck it thought the ports in order to tighten. It doesn’t have an area to tighten with a wrench as other brakes do. I took my 6.5 Creedmoor to the range and tested out the brake and it worked well. I fired it over 60 rounds and was satisfied with it. The one thing that attracted me to this Muzzle brake was price and the way it looked. Overall, an okay product.

Awesome product
This thing looks great, fits well, the finish is nice and it timed perfectly. I put it on my Mosin Nagant and I love it. I will more than likely get one or two more when I do my 300 AAC builds. Thank you Optics Planet

tacfire 308 muzzle brake
significantly reduces muzzle climb and recoil. installs easily and looks good and works just as well as many brakes 3x the price. only con is the same as every other brake, the noise increases dramatically

Impressive appearance
Installed this on my 300 BO with no problem. Since it had no instructions or written guidance, the correct installation is a matter of guesswork. Will try this out shortly. Its hard to just bloviate about a metal item but the review wants WORDS. It looks quite impressive on that rifle with a stainless steel barrel. But it was purchased for function so that will be determined after 20 rounds.

Muzzle brake
This muzzle brake fit like a glove on my .308 and works like a charm.A real bargain.It tames the recoil well and makes follow up shots much quicker.It also looks very good on the weapon.I will definately use one of these on my next build in the future.
