Most Helpful Positive Review It is a buffer
This is like comparing Cadillac and Chevrolet. Both are cars and both do the same thing. One just cost more than the other. Just as with this buffer. It is not the most expensive nor does it have to be. The only question should be does it do it's job and the answer is yes. Spend $50 bucks or more on...

Most Helpful Negative Review No Impressed
Theese buffers have a spray paint type paint finish that chips off easily. It seems solid with no moving internal weights. I'm thinking about removing all the paint to prevent buildup inside the buffer tube. The paint could end up causing reliability problems. Not recommended.

must have for fine tuning your AR

by Opticpaul, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on February 11, 2025
a selection of buffers is a must for all AR builds.
just pack a selection of different weights and it makes fine tuning your rifle much quicker and real time while youre at the range.
Just watch the ejection patterns, what position the BCG stopped and carefully note what types of malfunctions occur.
installs like all other buffers.
Best Used for:
  • fine tuning AR

They work as intended. I am satisfied. Used them on a 6.5 Grendal platform that was over gassed

Basic buffer

by BDW, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 28, 2024
Needed a heavy buffer for an AR-15 chambered for 7.62x39. Used with an AR-10 buffer spring. Buffer fits fine, finish is decent, and it doesn't rattle. This buffer and heavy spring were ideal for this caliber; no complaints.

Great for AR lower when using 7.62x39 upper.

by Edward, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on November 29, 2023
I replaced the milspec buffer on my PSA classic lower with this heavy buffer to smooth out the recoil when joined to my BCA upper in 7.62x39. Good recoil management, good shell ejection. Great price. Quality product.
Pros:
  • price and quality
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • 7.62x39 and other calibers larger than 5.56

Cheapest Heavy buffer out there

by Matt, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on October 24, 2021
Nice and hefty H1 and H2 buffers that I bought. Keep in mind that these are mystery metal and don't have removable tungsten weights. Of course, tungsten would be a steal at this price point. The finish wears easily and the H2 buffer is longer than a standard carbine buffer. Nevertheless it does the job.

be careful for the price not bad will keep!

by JD, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on June 18, 2020
The buffer end pad is a hair to long and does not let the bolt catch, catch the bolt! Took psa buffer out of my other build and worked flawlessly! Going to sand down the pad. can’t complain for the price just don’t want to see someone else have the same problem!

Gets it Done Reliably for Less

by HoosierHunter, from IN, United States Written on January 9, 2020
The buffer appears well made. Mine was painted which is okay. The buffer is typically in a lubricated and non-visible area so the most important attributes are cycling function and durability.

I just finished building an 8.5” 300AAC pistol build with it, so only a couple of range trips with it so far. It has been 100% on loads from 110-220gr. Time and round count increase will tell if this is a good buffer.
Pros:
  • cost
  • cycling function
Cons:
  • None

Tacfire AR-15 Carbine recoil buffer

by Pops, from NV, United States Written on April 18, 2019
I ordered this recoil buffer as a replacement for another carbine buffer I have. The biggest difference between the two is the Tacfire model doesn’t rattle when shaken back and forth unlike the unknown brand it replaced ( even though they both look alike ). It is solid compared to the first one.
