Most Helpful Positive Review Solid backup sights!
I have the Magpul BUIS and the Troy version, but you know for all the money I dumped on those sights were wasted on a name. The Tacfire BUIS are high quality and built to last!! I would highly recommend these sights to anyone that wants a solid, dependable sight that will work when you need them a...

Most Helpful Negative Review toy quality inferior
These sights are made of plastic and are toy quality. The windage knob on the left side (rear sight) stripped out before I even had a chance to mount it. The Trinity Force metal sights cost about the same and if you want inexpensive sights, I'd recommend them.

Great price, good product, good engineering

by stump, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on March 8, 2025
These sights are well developed and priced very competively against many in this field. The only problem with polymer-made products is they are inherently weak at high stress points. I have found that warming these sights up a bit helps in the mounting on picatinny rails. If they are not fitted properly and tenderly, the polymer rails will crack so be gentle in installation.
Pros:
  • Good price, good product, well-engineered
Cons:
  • A bit weak along the high stress points, such as the rail.
Best Used for:
  • Rifle length picatinny rails

Good pricing

by Stump, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on February 11, 2025
This product is great for the price. Fits well, however, they are somewhat fragile placing on the picatinny rail. They tend to break at various points while mounting. Tighten them too tight and they also break. Once on they have a bit more durability and sturdiness. This is a good product but could use a bit more reinforcement at attachment points. Attention, product engineers!!
Pros:
  • pricing
Cons:
  • too fragile, break easily
Best Used for:
  • limited durability

Small aperture doesn't Stay closed

by Bob, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on May 11, 2023
These are definitely cheap, but when shooting the smaller flip up hole falls and sight opens up a lot. I needed to spend more and get quality. I'm only leaving a revue to hopefully advise others of the same.
Pros:
  • Cheap
Cons:
  • Doesn't stay on small sight

MPN#IS008B Polymer Flip Up Sights

by QuickDrawMcGraw, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on September 2, 2022
Like I’ve always heard said: “You get what you pay for.”
These sights are not very well made. The small peep hole in the rear sight aperture is littered with flash debris from the molding process. In the “UP” position, they do not lock firmly into place resulting in slight movement of the components after each shot. Thus affecting accuracy. All in all, if you need to skimp on investment during your AR build, this is one area that may be of help. I’d rather have cheaper sights & better quality BCG’s, Barrels, trigger groups, etc. than visa-versa.
These sights are better than just attempting to sight down your top pic. rail, but that’s about the best I can say about them.

Failed the first test

by Shawn, from OH, United States Written on August 15, 2022
The set I got doesn’t even fit on the rail! Failed the first test. I would go magpul or Troy for iron sights. A little more money goes a long way I suppose. The sights also do appear fragile and the mechanism to release isn’t effective in the way that it’s made of a slick material with no grip assistance.
