Inexpensive but functional
Bought two of these for LR .308 Pistol builds. One had some white crusty stuff on the outside, probably anodizing residue, but it rubbed off. Yes the edges are sharp like the other guy said, but I'm a tough dude. Buy rail covers if your're a puss. looks tough! worked as advertised

Its as bad as you would think
The edges are super sharp. The barrel nut is cheap and catches on the threads. The single screw that holds it all together was cross threaded and shot after removing it. Price is right
For the price it's really great. Very solid and seems like it should hold up fine. I modified mine a bit to add with a 12" handguard as part of a 308 build. So far so good. And again, for price it's great and if I messed it up during the mod I wasn't going to be out much money.
