This shotgun shell holder is made of quality materials. It comes with a solid aluminum mounting plate and the actual shell holder is made of durable plastic.

A ***CAUTION*** for Mossberg 500 owners with "field" type forends. Double check to make sure your forend does not overlap any part of your gun's receiver when at the backstroke of the action. If it does, this shell holder will make contact with the forend and prevent you from making a full "pump". Options to remedy this are; trim the forend so it doesn't make contact with the shell holder, purchase the 5 shell holder rather than the 6 shell holder or replace the forend with one that doesn't overlap the receiver on the backstroke. I originally planned on changing the forend so it worked out well for me.

Again, this caution is for Mossberg 500's with "field" type forends. "Security" or "tactical" type forends should be fine.
Pros: Excellent quality and good value.
Cons: Modifications required for some Mossberg 500 models.
