Let me say that if you want value, quality and employability, look NO FURTHER! BUY THIS, and put the savings into your plates and kit! This does it all and super easy access from either side, even with steel plates (10x 12 shooters cut curved and 6x8 sides) in. I did have my tailor add some snaps to the plate holder straps, simply for piece of mind, since they are 4 lbs each. But, the velcro has never failed. A fold over system would have been my preferred method. I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs and the L/XL was perfect. Yes, they are short because with full gear, you wouldnt want pouches sitting in lap, groin or digging into legs while crouched or in odd cover position. Covers vitals well and maximizes mobility. There is NO LINER! DONT EXPECT it to be calfskin soft or as breathable as some of the $400 plus models. Under shirts, TAC U shirts, under armor and DRIFIRE all keep that from being an issue. TAG stitching always is top notch and the padded straps are perfect load distributors. I barely notice with full mags (12 30 rounders or 8 20 round 308, hydration pack, rifle is mounted on strap, IFAK, sustainment pouch with 3 full MREs and odds and ends! Looking to add EXOCET for long hauls! Get this and you will be happy! I love it.
Pros: Super easy access and very sturdy
Cons: would have liked pockets instead of straps for side plates
