No frills barrel, very good quality and tight dimensions

by Vintage 22s, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on January 22, 2025
I was pleasantly surprised with this barrel's quality and accuracy given the relatively low price. Dimensions / tolerances seem spot on. Lock up and overall fit is tighter than the factory barrel, yet not overly tight. The chamber appears min spec, and the rifling is appears smoother and easier to keep clean than the factory SIG barrel. I purchased this to use with a compensator, and have only shot it with the comp installed. I noted improved accuracy verses the factory barrel, not sure how much is the barrel verses the comp as the pistol is notably easier to control. Although the barrel does not incorporate an LCI on the top side, you can see if a cartridge is present by looking at the side. There are no caliber or any markings for that matter stamped on the exposed chamber. If you are looking for a no-frills quality barrel, the TK p365 XL barrel is the one you want.
Pros:
  • Very good accuracy
  • Tight fit w/o being overly tight
  • Functional LCI on the side of the barrel
  • Very good value for the dollar
  • Rifling is easy to clean
Cons:
  • No caliber information on barrel
Best Used for:
  • compensator or suppressor
  • Extending barrel length

pretty good but it is no frills for sure

by Michael Bridges, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on April 28, 2024
installed on a 365 xmacro. my silencers mated up well to it. took about 100 rounds to completely break in. was causing quite a few jams at first but less and less as that break in period kept going. seems some of the finish has worn off. does the job though. Also does not come with a thread protector.
Pros:
  • quick and cheap way to attach a silencer
Cons:
  • thin finish, no thread protector
Best Used for:
  • threading a silencer or a comp
Would recommend: Yes

Probably the best XL / Macro barrel for the money

by Locowolf1217, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on April 9, 2024
Like other reviewers, I bought this barrel as an experiment to get my P365 XMacro Tacops up to Glock 17 / full size pistol ballistics out of a gun smaller than a Glock 19. With the XMacro series you're packing 17 rounds, so why have a short 3.7" barrel? It looked a bit ungainly too, and I'm a sucker for good aesthetics! I paired this with the Ed Brown 1/2-28 nitride thread protector (sold on OP also) since this barrel doesn't come with one, and the flutes in the protector look purpose-built to contrast with the slide serration cuts on the P365 series slides! So now my Tacops looks like its actually ready to operate operationally (and tactically). But the more important question is, how does it shoot?! Well, with a mounted green dot on the slide, at about 12 yards I was getting same-hole or holes-touching groups resting the pistol on my side-by-side bed rail while sighting in, and that was not purposely trying to shoot small groups. I then ran out to 25-30 yards on steel, offhand, and it was boringly easy to smash the plate every time. I need to bench-rest the pistol and shoot for 50 yard group on paper to see how it does with some match ammo. In short, I see no reason to spend $150+ on a barrel for your 365XL or XMacro (seriously, SIG should have made the XMacros in 4" barrels and slides at least, if not 4.5). The 365 series beats the pants of the P320, its a better gun in all regards, and simpler.
Pros:
  • More accurate than factory, inexpensive, no LCI!
Cons:
  • The finish may not be as durable as factory, it rubs off in contact points
Best Used for:
  • Operating, home defense, long-range targets
