Did not work for me… - Tactical Solutions X-Ring V-Block Upgrade for Ruger 10/22

I purchased this V-block to install with a new TacSol SBX barrel on my mid-2000s model 10/22. At first I was unable to fully seat the bolts as there was insufficient clearance. I thought perhaps the “up” arrow was backward, but after contacting TacSol customer support, they had me seat the bolts before beginning to tighten them. This appeared to work, but I was concerned about how much shear force was being applied to the bolts. I then installed a Hogue aftermarket stock and noticed that the excess metal on the bottom of this block, angled down slightly, caused the stock forend to gap significantly. This wasn’t free floating the barrel, it was causing the forend to flex down the more the stock bolt was tightened. I’m not sure why this didn’t work for my application because others seem to have good luck with it.
