Most Helpful Positive Review Great idea for a kangaroo rifle and pistol mag combo
This mag shingle accommodates large and small pistol mags securely with no slop, or noisey Velcro. The rifle mag fits a pmag or usgi aluminum 5.56 mag securely with bunjee retention. My main gripe is with TAG's use of too much tan webbing. I Ordered the multicam variation expecting to see some of the pattern... unfortunately the pistol mag pouches cover about 80% of the pattern. My recommendations are to just buy a coyote brown one. All in all a solid piece of gear. Pros: lightweight, slimline, bomb proof construction, Cons: higher priced than some competition

ok at best

by Dave Winters, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on July 7, 2022
Good idea but this system really isn’t that great. Going prone is cumbersome and the mag pouches take a lot of damage from being pushed out that far. If your standing in line shooting, this will work ok I guess. Also, when the rifle pouch is empty, the pistol mags can be difficult to use. Idk how to explain.
Pros:
  • Quality
Cons:
  • Poor design and execution

Awesome product

Saw this product online, on another website. Shopped around to find the best price. Opticsplanet.com had the best price.

I would recommend anyone with a Molle vest purchase these pouches. The combination of rifle and pistol clips being carried on the same area makes reloading either weapon easier. The magnets to hold your empty clip is a bonus. The tab on the elastic bands, holding the rifle clips in the pouch, make it easier to free the clip from the pouch. The quality of the pouch is high.

Overall, a great product.

Great magazine pouch

by CHUDmac, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on September 28, 2015
I served eight years in the military and seven years in the police, and these are BY FAR the best magazine pouch I have used. The magnet is a great idea to help retain the pistol magazines while leaving access to them unrestricted. The AR magazine portion uses the bungee retention with a high-quality cordage and pull straps.

What caught me off guard was the way the shingle attaches to your gear. There are four MOLLE straps on the back to weave through your gear. There is no button that snaps shut once the strap has been woven through the MOLLE loops. There is about an inch of strap leftover once it is woven through the loops, and that leftover portion is wrapped around and tucked back under the last MOLLE loop.

Overall, this is a great pouch and I recommend it completely. I bought three and will definitely buy more.
Pros:
  • durable
  • MOLLE Loops and Straps Provided
  • AR and Pistol magazine
Cons:
  • A little pricy
Best Used for:
  • Law Enforcement
  • Combat use
  • airsoft training
  • Range Gear

Appears to be built solid. It attached to my vest easily. The magnets are solid. I am completely satisfied with this product. The price is kind of in the middle of comparable products but it appears to be on par with the more expensive alternative.
Pros:
  • Easy to use, built well
Cons:
  • None

TAG 3-mag pistol/rifle mag pouch

by Ian, from IL, United States Written on November 3, 2014
I've used these pouches on the Phalanx chest rig from TAG for a couple years now and I like the function. The quality of this pouch is high like the several other TAG products I've used and I appreciate that the weaving strips are integrated; I don't have to buy Malice clips.
Pros:
  • Weight
  • color
  • quality, price, warranty
Cons:

TAG Molle Enhanced Pistol

by CRAIG, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on February 8, 2012
I have the triple and single enhanced pistol on my kit. The mags, both PMAGS and Sig P226 magazines are held in place.

TAG makes great products. They are a little more expensive but you get quality.

Great Magazine pouch

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 23, 2012
This is the slimmest Kangaroo style mag pouch I've used. The pistol pouch has magnetic retention so there isn't a need for a bulky flap or straps. TAG gear is the best.
