Bad screws - Talley Modern Sporting Scope Rings

When I took out the base cross clamp screws they were all scratched up on the shanks where they rubbed the socket holes.
Two of the four were BENT and when spinning in or out would wobble and rub

I thought this product may have been returned to optics planet and the proper screws were swapped with screws from a different chinese product..
They had that glossy cheap look so common to chinese parts and didn't match the finish on the ring half screws.
But the rings showed no signs of ever being mounted.
I believe they were manufactured improperly. Heads not concentric with shafts.

I contacted Talley and explained this. I asked should I return to Optics Planet, return to Talley or would they supply new screws.
I received four new screws seven days later.
The new screws had that same cheap glossy look. Maybe the screws are sourced from someplace other that USA.

Perhaps Talley uses low vision staff to assemble the parts. That would be fantastic for them as a company. I'm a supporter of the blind community.
Otherwise I cannot understand how these rings were assembled and shipped with bent or poorly machined screws.
I've encountered bad construction or deck screws here and there but not a 50% fail in machine screws.
