Goathead's Review of TANDEMKROSS Bolt Keeper Extended Bolt Lock for Ruger 10/22
Purchased three. First one for T/CR22 along with BX-25 trigger, a Victory Ultimate trigger kit, and a Volquartsen target seer because the T/CR trigger setup isn’t compatible with the Victory trigger. Probably spent almost as much as a higher end trigger but I’m happy with the purchase. Bolt keeper works perfectly with this setup and the Victory trigger is my new favorite with almost zero take up and a very short reset.
For the other two rifles that are both 10/22, I previously installed the Volquartsen target hammer kits which I recommend as the cheapest way to get a 2.5 pound trigger pull. The bolt keeper catches on the hammer when I pull the charging handle to auto-release. So the bolt doesn’t move forward and chamber a round. Figured out the VQ hammer is narrower with plastic shims and it is not a reliable combo. Pulled the bolt keeper out but keeping them because I plan to upgrade both to Victory triggers at some point.
