not sure what they do but..
they definitely feel sturdy and fit well. If you do alot of shooting with your PC Carbine, i say upgrade as many of these cheap, common wear items as possbble. Ruger skimped in a few areas (extractor, shockbuff/retainer clip, these pins as well as the disassembly pins). Tandemkross has all these parts to upgrade with, and they work well .
