Much larger than stock chaining handle
This is much easier to charge than the standard charging handle on a Ruger 10/22. The skeletonized part I could take it leave as i don't think the weight savings is worth the trade offin durability. Spring is a good weight and doesn't bind to the guide rod.

Better then oem
It's very nicer then the standard charging handle. Reason for the stars I feel like the edges are sharp and also I have gone through 2 c clips. Both have fallen out. The one that came with it and also I installed one. I don't have c clip on it currently.
10/22 charging handle
Much more refined unit than factory. Extended to make finding the handle much easier. A little tricky to get in if you’ve never done one before but definitely worth it.

Rods bends easy
It’s an easy installation and worked for about 50 rounds before the bolt jammed. The rod bowed and the bolt got stuck in the rear position. Easy fix but shouldn’t have to.
Pros:
- Looks great
Cons:
- Rod bowed easy
Would recommend: No
Very disappointed this item is junk.
This charging handle when installed would not cycle properly. When I took it apart to see why it would not cycle properly there was metal shavings inside the receiver. So I took it apart and put the original charging handle back in and it worked fine. Then I put this Charging handle into a different 1022 receiver and once again it would not cycle properly. This is a piece of junk. I do not recommend this item.

Charging Handle Replacement
This is a better 10/22 Charger charging handle than the one that comes from Ruger. The shaft is better and the handle is longer. The shaft is machined smoother so there's less friction.
Unfortunately, when I took this one out of the package, the E-style retainer fell off allowing the spring and handle to pop up. The E-style retainer ring is very small, black and impossible to find if goes anywhere but straight down. Luckily, I found it. I bent it in a bit and then put it back on. Using a retaining ring like this to keep the spring on is not the best solution to the problem. It makes switching the spring easy, but the chances of losing the retaining ring are high.
TK is a very good company, so they're sending me extra retaining rings. I can buy 9/64 (3.5 mm) rings, but usually, they're sold in packages of 100, and they have to be really thin ones also. I didn't measure the thickness before putting it back on. I should have. TK also told me they are changing the design to eliminate the ring. That means I'm not the first person to have this problem.
Before you put the new handle in, check the retainer and make sure it's firmly in place. I don't recommend removing it. If it is tight, it's not likely to come off unless you take it off. I clean my charger handle shaft without removing the spring, so I'm not expecting to remove the spring for a long time.
I do a lot of work on my guns to make sure they shoot reliably and accurately with the brands of ammo I use. Upgrading with a...

Excellent for a 10/22 build
This is the best charging handle that I have tried. Long enough to rack the bolt easily but short enough not to be in the way!
