Most Helpful Positive Review Does not fit Daniel Defense Rail
It looks like a really good product , but It doesnt fit my DD rail. I tried my hardest to make it fit but they way the rail is made it doesnt let it slide , but my BCM grip fits just fine. Need to specify in which rail it fits or the ones that it dont fit
Most Helpful Negative Review No Fit on Knights Armament Rail
Does not fit Knights Armament rail. Plastic latch keys do very little to indent tabs. I really wouldn't recommend this product. Shame they make an inferior product that must be returned so now I'll buy the more expensive Tango QD grip.

very nice VFG

by Brad, from MN, United States Written on April 22, 2025
These are a very nice grips. A bit on the spendy side for what you’re getting. Mounting is very solid but mounting and dismounting are a pain because of their proprietary locking system.

Best VFG I've Used

by Marshall, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on March 19, 2025
Overall, I liken this foregrip as a solid alternative to offerings from Magpul and others. Between its solid construction, positive lockup, and integral water-proof compartment, the Tangodown stubby grip offers a great deal of value for very little cash.

TangoDown Grip

by M84, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on June 29, 2024
Very good grip! Light weight and fits tight on the pic rail on my MK18. However, the fit is great but a pain to put on and adjust because of the super tight fitment. Still would definitely recommend!

A good short grip

by GunFanatic, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on May 4, 2024
If you are buying this to put on a Daniel Defense picatinny rail, it takes some force. I had to pull off the lower half and start it on there then hammer it on. But other than that this is a awesome well made forgrip!
Pros:
  • Tight fit, no wiggling
Cons:
  • not easy to install

Super tight fit on a DD RIS II rail

by Anon, from KS, United States Written on January 25, 2023
Super tight fit on a Daniel Defense RIS II rail. I had to use a mallet to get it to slide down the rail. *note to other RIS II owners, you will have to remove the bottom half of the rail to attempt to install this*

Sturdy, and durable

by JC, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on July 19, 2022
This grip is very good quality, yes it is coated polymer but that doesn’t mean it’s cheap or flimsy at all. This is way better than any vertical grip I’ve used and it looks awesome! Great for a block 2 build. The only thing that is a negative is this thing is insanely tight and hard to get on. Had to use a rubber mallet to tap it down over the RISII rail.
Pros:
  • durable
  • Size
  • Grip
  • look & feel
  • Firm and comfortable
Cons:
  • Very tight fit
Best Used for:
  • Mk18 mod 1
  • m4a1

best vertical grip

by Ken, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on June 13, 2021
I have BCM, DD foregrips on my ARs. TangoDown was the latest addition specifically for my M4A1 build. This TangoDown grip is by far my favourite in terms of build quality, appearance, and actual feel. For shorter barrels, I would recommend BCM for a more natural look. Anything 14.5 and longer, TangoDown is the way to go.

Go to foregrip

by Brian, from NC, United States Written on June 7, 2020
Always had this on my M4 for deployments decided to cough up the money to have it on my AR builds at home and have the same capability. I like it’s compactness and durability which is just right for my two AR builds.
Pros:
  • easy to install
  • Ligh weight
  • short and compact
Cons:
  • None

Simple solution

by Andy, from FL, United States Written on May 20, 2020
The most comfortable foregrip for the size. Fits my hand really well and still allows for the attachment of tape switches. Over all I’m happy with it, made of sturdy material and I’m not worried about beating it up. Price is the only con, but you’re paying for quality.

Tango Down grip

by June, from IL, United States Written on October 3, 2019
This grip is perfect. Not too long or not too short but perfect. Extremely easy to place onto the rifle without the use of tools. That was the selling point for me to buying the vertical grip. The price could have been cheaper though
