I was pleasantly surprised at how good these perform since I own several sets of more expensive binoculars that I compare them to. I bought these as an inexpensive tool to help introduce my kids to using binoculars for nature and stargazing. I found them to be better than certain slightly more expensive binoculars from another brand. Their small size, light weight and grip-friendly shape make them easy to use and hold steady. The focus is sharp. The images are quite clear. The wide view is excellent. Light-gathering is surprisingly good for 35's-- tried them out at stargazing and moon viewing and was impressed. I lke these so much that I just ordered another set.
