Good upgrade, but has design problems
Worthwhile (but overpriced) upgrade. FAR brighter and more usable & reliable than the original bulb. However, the new LED bulb assembly is slightly too large in diameter. It binds against the inside of the screw-on reflector assembly, resulting in the LED bulb's leads being twisted together, also mucking up the socket contacts of the Maglite. I hope TerraLux fixes this goof, and replaces LED bulb assemblies that may become damaged due to this problem!

Simply Awesome! Well worth the money. Crisp bright white light, much brighter than the original bulb. Its LED so it should last, and last, and last... Had no problems with fitment. I kept the old bulb as a backup just in case this ever fails, but if it does I will be purchasing another one.

fantastic upgrade
turned my AA minilite into my go to light for nighttime dog walk. My 3cell D maglite,not so impressed. I used AA lite for many yrs.doing vechicle pretrip inspection and thats basically all it was good for,but this modification is great! Ordered another for my girlfriend.

Mini Mag LED
WHOO! Major improvement over the old bulb. Keeping old bulb for emergency fire use when in field. Going to order more for other units. Cost was appropriate. Application easy to install. Ring gasket could be considered along with a new lens for clarity. I would suggest alternate colored lenses for stepping up the overall potential product.

I use this with my compound bow for low-light situations when shooting at my club archery field course at dawn/dusk.
It packs a wallop of power for the price.
My only constructive feedback that I have is that wish that it had more lumen power & intensity adjustability.

Well worth it
This bulb makes a HUGE difference. The only problem was in getting the bulb to line up and settle into the reflector. The bulb appears to be not quite centered on its base so I had to unscrew the lens cover and shake things around a bit to get it to line up with the hole in the reflector. After lining things up and tightening the lens cover back down everything is good. Well worth the money.
