Most Helpful Negative Review not a fan so far
i have no problem with the quality. i carry a 1911 for protection mostly against animals in montana, which means it needs to be quickly accessible. the problem with this holster is when it is belted on, the belt causes the holster to compress which makes it slow and difficult to get the pistol out or put it away. if you are in any situation that requires you to draw your weapon quickly this is not the holster for you.

Edit last Review

by John, from MD, United States Written on July 3, 2023
I apologize for the last review. It appeared that the site kept erasing message. Somehow it jumbled everything together. The holster is well made but in its current configuration, it isnt suited for the P365. There is too much room between the slide and the retaining strap, whuch allows the pistol to be removed without unsnapping the retainer. The magazine button presses against the back leather of the holster and releases the magazine. The pistol sinks too far into the holster pocket and there isn't enough room between the leather to get a grip high up against the trigger guard.
Pros:
  • Nicely made holster that may fit the M&P Shield. Give it a five for quality but a one for fit.
Cons:
  • Needs to be modified if used for a P365 Sig.
  • Needs to be modified if used woth a P365 Sig.
Best Used for:
  • Not suited in present configuration for a P365.

OWB Leather Retention Holster

by John, from MD, United States Written on July 2, 2023
I have this model holster for a 1911 and gave it a five in all categories for fit, finish, concealment, comfort, retention and access. However, this holster is not suited for the P365 Sig Sauer. The leather needs to be relieved below the trigger guard. As designed, there isn't enough room to get the fingers high on the front strap to secure a grip again the trigger guard.
Pros:
  • As with the 1911 holster, I give it a five rating in all categories except for the issue about finger clearance.
  • I selected this model because I selected it for a 1911 semi-auto and considered it a five in all categories, including fit and finish, as well as comfort, concealability, access and retention. , h

  • On current configuration, the functionality is rated 1. The design should have been tested with the compact pistol. I believe the problem could be corrected by lowering the leather by 1/2 inch.

Selected the 1911 for 5 inch for Carry Training

by John, from MD, United States Written on February 20, 2022
This holster fits fit the 5 inch 1911 government model colt and a Springfield MilSpec 1911 co2 blowback bb gun bought for training. The gun is an exact replica of the 1911 and fits the holster like a glove. I'm impressed with the fit, material, stitching and strength. It's strong, stable, very well made and the black color has an appealing patina. Despite being new, the gun draws easily, but re-holstering is still tight and can be aided by placing the thumb on the hammer while hollering. I prefer this model holster, which has less forwarcan't. It hugs very tight to the body for concealed carry, so it's important that you become comfortable with the muscle memory needed to grip the pistol reflexively.
Pros:
  • Strong, quality material, well made, nice finish, great fit.
Cons:
  • Tight fit until broken in, which doesn't hamper draw, but requires care in re-holstering.
Best Used for:
  • Carry and training

Good quality holster, great price, super fast delivery!

by Scotty, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on April 18, 2021
I ordered this for 1911 springfield armory range officer. The holster fits perfect, very comfortable compared to other holsters and looks really nice. I ordered on a Thursday or Friday and it was at my door the Sunday after! I received it 2 days earlier than expected. I will definitely order from this place again next time.
