Good value retains zero would purchase again easy to install

Fits pioneer arms hellpup 11.73. Doesn’t shake, holds 0.

It's fun to say, install was not so fun. I added this to a PSA AK103 and It's great. It came with the retainer pre bent, didnt need it bent, it was a pain to bend it back with no tools and pure determination. The dog leg is absolutely rock solid, takes away the extra weight of the side rail. It weights the same as your standard dust cover. Just a tip i think will come in handy after many swear words and complete disdain for life, leave the charging handle in, it will help with the leaf sight replacement. Looks great, rock solid, I will buy more of these.

Cover isn't as heavy as midwest's, but still locks up very solid, and not gold plated like the alpha!

This is a great addition for my Norinco 56s. The sights are way off so being able to put a red dot on my gun is great.

Switched from ar to ak. Been building a fully built cugir and a amd-65. The cugur received the Midwest industries alpha hand guard and dust cover. The amd is going to be kept more classic looking but with a hellcat engine. So, after reading reviews I figured the dog leg rail would be perfect. Well I like tolerances and after reading the reviews I had high expectations. Well let’s just say that the dog leg dust cover was highly disappointing. The over all weight and material is very light, almost cheap aluminum feeling. You must sacrifice your iron sight to mount it. Well, they don’t provide you with a back up. In my opinion the dust cover should be sold with there back up sight. They roll pin that mounts it requires a tiny clip that kinda stays on alright. Don’t screw the screw for the mounting plate down to far or your bcg will not go into battery. And worst of all. There is a metal tab on the back right corner that must be bent to fit it to your rifle? Come on. A lot of people were calling this the original ALPHA hand guard. That could not be more far from the truth. NOW, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MIDDLE PRICED MIDDLE OF THE ROAD MIDDLE TO LOWER END DUST COVER THEN THIS IS IT. But then again jl just released there version for 40% cheaper and much better feel to the material used. ENGINEERING ON THIS WAS SUB PAR. BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING THIS. Just what I needed for my WASR-10. I'll be buying one for my RH-10 as well.

I have this mounted on a AMD-65, it is a tight fit and runs flawlessly, it is still holding zero after hundreds of rounds this far. Feels and looks like quality. Would recommend if you have a AKM and not much mounting options. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because the instructions aren’t too clear, if you’re a beginner trying to install something for the first time you might run into some confusion . I didn’t have that issue, however I know someone who’s unfamiliar with or less experienced with AK’s might have to pull up a” how to” video on YouTube to help you install.

As above, the net result is a rock solid platform with repeatable zero. Hard duty use… check!
