The product is made very well and after watching the video on the Texas Weapons site the installation is easy. However it did not fit. The cover does not seat at the rear and there's a gap at the front. This was going on a Romanian 74 SAR2 with folding stock. Also the stock rear iron sight is replaced by the new cover and is not used. I didn't realize that, maybe I missed that detail.
I contacted Texas weapons and was asked to send pictures and a tech would get back to me. After a week I sent a follow up email and got no response. Maybe they are too busy drinking Lone Star and herding armadillo.
Its too bad because it really is an improvement to the AK design.
