Basic and useful
I was looking for free standing tents for use as a sleeping shelter in third world countries to protect against mosquitoes. Well, this isn't exactly "free standing". It does need to be staked down or tied off to be under tension in order to stand up. But, I think with some minor modifications and the addition of an extra tent pole over the top it will work as free standing.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Small
Cons:
- not free standing
Best Used for:
- single person camping
