Fast Follow-Up Shots & Improved Ergonomics
After spending time with both the original Disruptor and now the new ambidextrous version, I can confidently say this is the model I would recommend to most shooters. While the internals remain the same as the standard Disruptor, the addition of an ambidextrous safety selector addresses one of the biggest ergonomic complaints of the original design. I dropped this trigger into a 10.3 AR pistol that had a few different variables compared to the rilfe i tested the standard Disruptor in including a Sylvan Arms folding stock/brace adaptor on the pistol.
Installation was straightforward thanks to the cassette-style drop-in design. If you're already comfortable assembling an AR-15 lower, getting everything installed is a quick process. As with any forced-reset system, making sure your rifle is configured correctly (Full Auto BCG, H3 or heavier buffer, etc.) is important for reliable operation.
On the range, the trigger delivered exactly what it's designed to do. Once you learn the cadence and maintain consistent pressure on the trigger, follow-up shots come extremely quickly while remaining controllable. In my testing, the reset was positive and consistent, allowing me to run multiple magazines without any reliability issues.
The ambidextrous selector is a worthwhile upgrade even for right-handed shooters. Whether you're practicing support-side shooting, shooting around barricades, or simply prefer ambidextrous controls, having the selector accessible from either side makes the ...
