Breech plug thread cleaner
This is a handy, effective way to keep breech-plug threads clean. It cleans out old anti-seize lube and carbon and I use it every time I pull the breech plug. This uses the same 7/16 socket as the breech plug so you don't need any special tools. The only downside is that the threads on this wear out -- but I just replace it every year or so. I'd recommend that TC make them out of a slightly harder grade of plastic.

Breech Plug Thread Cleaner for Encore (Doesn't thread in well)
Ordered this back in January...finally received it here at end of March. Tried the tool here tonight on my T/C Encore (ProHunter) with "Speed Breech". Was hoping it might do a better and easier job compared to the old standby brush, but in my opinion it did not. The main difficulty I experienced was that it did not want to thread in properly, no matter how hard you try to keep it aligned. As soon as I established a good parallel thread engagement and started to turn the tool, it would be fine until the tool flutes would catch on the gun's speed breech machining. Only tried to turn by hand (no tools) as I could never complete 1 full revolution by hand without it wanting to hang on the flutes. Maybe its not compatible with Encore Speed Breech, but I have not seen anything that would state otherwise.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- doesn't work
Best Used for:
- Maybe non "Speed Breech" Encore?
