Thompson Center Encore Synthetic Muzzleloader Forend
Bought as a replacement for the wood because walnut rear stock cracked. It probably is lighter than the wood but not much. It is also colder to hold so I never kept it on the rifle. It is plenty durable but the fore end does not receive much abuse.
Pros:

This was exactly what I needed and it fit perfectly. It came with new screws to mount it to my gun and the color matched perfectly.Very satisfied with it and I've already used it .Had been looking for one locally and no one had one . No problems. Item was as described. Realize this is a low end product, and I expected that this would not be a thing of beauty. Service was good and prompt. They followed up as well. The price is in line with those listed other places and this seems to be more than a gut working out of his basement; that is there is more inventory and personnel at hand.
