OVERVIEW - I have spent a lot of time looking for the “right” bipod and have found most videos or reviews lacking. This is easily becoming one of my favorite bipods and do believe it is on par or above other bipods twice the price. I was hesitant on if I wanted the short or tall version but am very glad I went with the tall. In most cases I don’t need to extend the legs at all, where as with shorter bipods I need to extend on almost every occasion which is more of an inconvenience than anything. The bipod is very sturdy and stable, where my other bipods have flex and a lot of movement in the legs themselves, there is very little movement at all with the ATAC Bipod. I did get the upgraded podlock which I am very happy with. It allows you to fine tune the tightness and then can stow it in a direction out of the way without disturbing the set tightness. (I am not sure if the standard podlock does that or not) I really like the fact that you can tighten the podlock but it still allows you to tilt the rifle left or right easily but will not collpase under the weight of the rifle. The bipod will keep the rifle at the angle i set it out and stay put. I have also tested tilting the rifle back and forth multiple times and have found that it will still stay tight and not come loose. but I did have one issue with the first bipod I received, which looking back I do believe was user error.
