I purchased a new Tikka for my daughter this deer season even though it came with base and rings I elected to use the Optilock base. When it comes to mounting scopes I am pretty anal regarding the material due to the importance. The original rings were made of aircraft aluminum (I think) I went with these because they are all steel and very well made. I got the stainless steel ones to go with a stainless barrel and silver scope they are not a perfect match but they are solid and well made (the anal coming out).
