Won’t stay closed - Timber Creek AR Billet Dust Cover

I recently added this dust cover to a billet upper receiver and it looks great. Unfortunately, it simply won’t stay closed. The mil spec dust cover I originally had installed worked just fine, but this Timber Creek dust cover barely snaps closed and with barely any movement of the rifle at all, it pops open. When I compared the Timber Creek to the mil spec cover, it’s obvious that the ball detent on the Timber Creek is machined too close to the inside wall of the cover, and that keeps it from fully closing on the upper receiver. I tried to contact Timber Creek twice by email and twice by phone. They never answer the phone and the message mailbox is always full. They have not replied to my emails either. Total waste of money.
