GJ's Review of Timber Creek Enforcer Ambidextrous Charging Handle For AR15/M16

This is really great looking/feeling charging handle. The 'ears' are 1.5" wide so the handle is 3" wide overall, which seems really wide compared to others I've used but getting a hand on it with optics or BUIS is a non-issue. The finish is great (though I was hoping the tungsten color would be a bit lighter to match my other NiB/Grey parts) and the operation is very smooth and solid.
Now for reason I only gave it 3 stars:
1) When the latch is locked into the upper the right tab flops around a bit. I reviewed the function of the mechanism and found that when the left tab is pulled any distance away from the right tab develops slop; makes sense because of how it operates. But when the handle is locked (bolt closed) the left tab is pushed away from the charging handle (due to the thickness of the upper receiver where it contacts) and then the right tab wiggles. Not a huge deal to most people I would imagine but I don't like my things to rattle/wiggle. I filed down the catch mechanism on the charging handle until the rattle was gone.
2) The first several time the latch didn't engage the upper, I had to push it forward another 1/16" to get it latch. I think this is a 'break in' thing because after several times pushing the handle it would then lock like it was supposed to. I figure with more use this will work and not be an issue. FYI: It did this before I modified it and after, each time getting better with more use.
So it's a great handle but for $90 I didn't expect to have to work on it to get it to function 100%.
