Trigger pull consistency - Timney Triggers Remington 700 Flat Trigger w/Safety

Replacing the factory OEM trigger with a Timney is one of the easiest steps for improving the shooter's ability to shoot more accurately. The Timney trigger can be adjusted to a lighter 'pull weight'; 1.5 - 3.0lbs compared to the 3.0-6.0lb 'pull weight' of most OEM Rem700 rifles. Not only is the trigger pull weight lighter than achievable with the newer Rem Mark X Pro OEM trigger, the crisp 'let off' and no over travel of the Timney is great. If you shoot more than one rifle, you'll want them all to have Timney triggers for consistency. Trigger replacement instructions are easy to follow; you'll need a good drift punch (1/16in.) to move the retaining pins for the trigger group. Pull weight adjustment is simple allen screw turns. Compared to shooting a rifle with the OEM trigger and a Timney replacement, it's like the joke about the guy taking a knife to a gun fight.
