This is probably the best aftermarket trigger available. I have it installed on 4 700 action rifles and have never had a issue. Price is reasonable and quality and reliability is unmatched. It will not fit a magpul 700 hunter stock. Unless you file down some of the inside of the trigger guard. I did this on 2 rifles and it fit great.

I like this trigger. The rear pin would not fit. I drilled out the holes to proper size, now the pin fits. Installed the stock and the safety would not slide. Used Dremel tool to remove material, now it slides. The trigger was very close to trigger guard. Shimmed front screw on guard, now there is clearance. Set the trigger at 1.5#. Might be a little light for hunting rifle, might have to re-adjust. After all I still like the trigger............

I installed the flat triggers on both of my 700 remingtons and I was amazed @ how well it improved accuracy from 100 out to 400 hundred yds set @ 2lbs they both broke like glass with 0 creep money well spent! would highly recommend you try one on your rifle you won't believe the difference!

This is a must upgrade for any rifle. From how clean it breaks to the adjustable pull weight. It’s one of a kind for the price. I’ve done lots of trigger jobs on rifles and handguns and this was a true drop in. It’s two pins and then drop the trigger in.

Light and crisp break. Had to shave off some on my magpul hunter trigger guard but other than that, I'm very happy. I'm sure the curved version would have fit just fine. Havent gotten to the range yet but excited to see how it performs. Install was simple tool about 15 mins, faster if I has punches small enough.

Try squeezing a heavy trigger on a 300 RUM. Causes pulled shots because of the heavy recoil. Hunted with this rifle for over 10 years with a lot of success at closer ranges. 200 yards down. I Drew a Wyoming unit 7 Bull tag after 9 years of waiting. I new I had to get it right. Purchased a Timney trigger and a NightForce scope from Optics Planet. Had my gun smith in stall my trigger and acurize my rifle. I installed the scope, lapped the rings and started practicing. The trigger difference was hugh! Instead of pulling and anticipating my rifle to fire, it was a sweet crisp snap on the trigger. Went on my hunt and killed a beautiful 9 year old 6x6 Bull at 550 yards! 1 shot from the 300 RUM withe the timney trigger and the NightForce scope put him on the ground. Can not say enough about my rifle now with my Timney trigger. Waiting for my next chance to return to Wyoming to hunt elk. There is nothing like having that confidence in your rifle and know it's capabilities! Feel confident and buy a Timney trigger!!

So much better then factory Remington trigger this trigger is set at a crisp 3 lbs and breaks clean out it on a long range build and have already tightened up my groups at 700M anyone wanting a good after market cant yo wrong with timney the only problem is going into a magpul bottom metal I had to dremel the trigger guard to accept the flat trigger

Replacing the factory OEM trigger with a Timney is one of the easiest steps for improving the shooter's ability to shoot more accurately. The Timney trigger can be adjusted to a lighter 'pull weight'; 1.5 - 3.0lbs compared to the 3.0-6.0lb 'pull weight' of most OEM Rem700 rifles. Not only is the trigger pull weight lighter than achievable with the newer Rem Mark X Pro OEM trigger, the crisp 'let off' and no over travel of the Timney is great. If you shoot more than one rifle, you'll want them all to have Timney triggers for consistency. Trigger replacement instructions are easy to follow; you'll need a good drift punch (1/16in.) to move the retaining pins for the trigger group. Pull weight adjustment is simple allen screw turns. Compared to shooting a rifle with the OEM trigger and a Timney replacement, it's like the joke about the guy taking a knife to a gun fight.

Big 700 Remington fan. Remington Walker triggers are no longer made or standard on the 700. Now sold with Xpro. Well it will take you a short time to figure out, the trigger is aweful!!! The Timney 517 was and always be my go to trigger for the 700. The 517 is SAFE, breaks like glass, and at 2.0lbs is my preference weight. Best money you will ever spend.

I ordered this trigger as a recommended replacement for the stock mdl 700. Inexpensive and high quality equals great value and performance. Easily installed and adjustable. A must add item for the 700 remington Magpul.
