Very good upgrade to the stock 870 trigger - Timney Triggers Remington 870 Trigger Fix

I guess I’m a bit old school when it comes to shotguns. I prefer my shotgun to be a pump action, and there hasn’t really been too many upgrades for them. I never really looked for any trigger upgrades. After all, it’s “just a shotgun” right? Nope. I was dead wrong. While looking for a replacement trigger for my wife’s new Weatherby Vanguard Camilla I went through Timney’s website and happened to stumble upon this 870 sear replacement. I was intrigued with this concept. Sig Sauer basically did the same thing with their SRT trigger bar replacement to shorten the reset and clean up the pull.

Shipping was extremely quick and everything else arrived with this new 870 “trigger.” I was pleasantly surprised to find out Timney is based in my home state of AZ. The instructions were great. It is also worth mentioning, Timney has done YouTube videos showing the installation of their triggers as well (well as long as YouTube will leave them up). The install went great and would have been faster if my fingers wouldn’t stop fumbling the sear. I used the blue/light spring to start with. I place the trigger back in the 870 to test. Love it! Nice light pull with no more creep. The trigger now has a crisp, clean break and much less over travel. The reset is still just as long as before. All in all this upgrade is completely worth the money! I wish I’d seen this a long time ago.
