The trigger on my Remington 870 was pretty decent from factory, but adding in the Timney trigger took it to the next level, with the 2-stage takeup and clean break. I used the medium spring and didn't do any fine adjustments, finding that the performance was excellent in that configuration. Super easy to install especially when paired with an optic rail that requires you to take out your trigger pins.
Pros:
- Easy to install, high quality product

I've installed this trigger on other models previously and find it really cleans up the trigger pull on the 870/1100/11-87/760/7600 style mechanism. Installation is quick and easy with a minimal amount of tools and experience. It's worth the investment and time. You can adjust the pull weight to the level you are comfortable with.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- lightens the pull weight
- cleans the release break
Best Used for:
- Rem 870/1100/11-87/760/7600

Will totally transform your 870 express trigger into something worthy for the trap range. Light or Medium are both rather usable, and the difference between the factory part and the Timney part is night and day. Buy two.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- variable settings
Cons:
- As expensive as a replacement wingmaster trigger
Best Used for:
- Accuracy improvement
- Sporting Shotgun

Good old shotgun works, but could be improved. Nothing wrong with original design but if you play with your tools alot and find that it could be improved, this is the fix. I love it.

Can’t wait to get this in the woods! This swap/fix only took about 30 minutes and that was with a good clean and lube while I had everything apart. I put the lightest of the three springs in and love how much smoother and quicker the trigger is now as opposed to the factory set up.

Absolutely love this. Easy to install, eliminates creep, clean break, and dropped the pull weight dramatically. I installed it on my Remington 760 and makes it handle like a new rifle. I would absolutely recommend this product.

I put a Timney trigger in a ruger Scout rifle years ago and loved it. So when I decided an 870 needed an upgrade I was confident Timney would be up to the task.
Installation was quite easy on the 870s. On the 11-87 the carrier pivot tube has a keeper on each end. One Keeper has to be removed which can a bit tricky to do.
I put one in a 2021 870 Tac 14 that had a terribley long gritty creepy pull. The improvement is night and day. There is still a trace of creep, but the break is very crisp. With the red spring installed the break is 3lbs 2oz.
The second install is a 2007 11-87 police gun. The trigger had a good bit of creep and was 7 lbs.
It now has far less creep, and a very crisp break at 2 lbs 13oz with the white spring installed.
The third is a 1994 870 Express combo that had some creep and a not very crisp break at 6 lbs. It now has barely perceptible creep and a crisp 2 lb 12oz break with the white spring installed.
Pros:
- Adjustability
- easy to install
- Crisp & clean break when firing
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Trap and Skeet and Clays
- Target & Competition Shooting

Bought one of these to reduce the creep and pull of the trigger. The lightest spring (blue) does just that. The stock spring and trigger was a little heavy, and I would often flinch before shooting, but not anymore. It comes with three different springs and varying levels of pull, and swapping them out is a breeze, so you can easily switch to one or the other if need be. Not a cheap upgrade, but well worth it in the long run.

Looking at it you can rightfully question the price, but once installed the improvement in the trigger pull is quite remarkable. If you have an 870 lying around and are considering upgrading to a different shotgun ( or can get one cheap), consider investing $90 for a trigger fix that brings it up to the next level.
Pros:
- Work great and fit perfectly
Cons:
- Price but value is still solid

Installed this in my Bicentennial 760 rifle. Used the heaviest of the three springs for reliability in snow conditions. It's very smooth. It's tighter than my original trigger, and noticeably smoother. I'm very happy with it.
Pros:
- 3 springs for a perfect pull weight
Best Used for:
- Deep cold and wet conditions
