Timney timely install
The timney drop in trigger for the Ruger M77 Mk II is NOT a drop in trigger. Apparently these are made to fit something else so timneyblets you become a gunsmith. You have to take a drill/drimmel/ file of some sort and take off a big portion of a block of steel before this will work on your gun. Pai...

Smooth Trigger,Get your file ready
Doing my homework, I was aware about having to file some metal off of this drop in trigger assembly. The instructions were of some type of foreign tongue and couldn’t understand them. Watched a few videos and was able to successfully get the trigger working well and down below 2 pound pull with almost no overtravel.
Pros:
- Well constructed
Cons:
- Not a drop in
Would recommend: Yes

6mm upgrade
My Ruger in 6mm always shot very well but the Timney trigger made it a real sharpshooter. I would not have believed a trigger would make such a difference. Install was straight forward..patience is required for fitting the trigger to the safety however, I used a very slow power wet white stone grinder to mill the safety shelf on the trigger a couple of thousands at a time, assemble check, disassemble and do it again until I was satisfied the job was perfect. Maybe an hour to get that done..Can't be in a rush and the outcome was very satisfying.
Pros:
- Very reasonable price for a big name trigger.
Cons:
- none that i can see
Would recommend: Yes
Love the trigger, not a true drop in
Trigger works great but it’s not just plug and play. You have to modify the new trigger to fit in the particular ruger rifle I have. It’s not an overly difficult modification to make I just was not anticipating having to make a mod to a drop in trigger

Timney trigger for a Ruger m77 mark2
Very empresses with the product it was a little more work cutting the trigger block than I thought but it works great The only negative part was the price seemed a little much Would probably buy another Timothy trigger for some of my other firearms but I wish y’all could work on the price
Pros:
- Works just as it is advertised
Cons:
- The Price

Does not work on Ruger M77/44
I purchased this to use on a Ruger M77/44. After I modified it I found out that it does not fit the Ruger 77/44. So that was a complete waste of $$. I thought I had researched this to find that it would fit this rifle. Wrong. Anyway, if this product fits your firearm then it's probably fine. I'm disappointed that it won't work in mine.

Ruger Timney
Trigger fits as it should. Does what its advertised to do. Tightens things up. Install takes some metal removal to allow the safety to function which isnt clear in the instructions. The material can be removed with a file or dremel. I have a mill so essy for me. Pull weight after install is easily adjusted from 1 to 3 lbs.

Take your time
A little to much off and safety WILL malfunction. And the weapon will no longer be safe. Make sure you inlet your stock for the over travel adjustment lug. Had it filed and firing perfect then wouldn’t fire in stock thought it was the safety so filed a little more and ruined the trigger. It was the over travel adjustment lug hanging up on the stock. Super upsetting to ruin a great part and not to mention a waste of money I didn’t have to waste. Gum junkie problems. Just be careful. If your like me you will never get over it and beat yourself up until the new one arrives. Then beat yourself up again!
Pros:
- Great Trigger
Cons:
- Small margin for error
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Target shooting
Would recommend: Yes

Rangeishot
I’m on my second one of these now. Careful on the Dremel tool all of you out there. I over cut the on the removal fitting by the width of a razor blade. It must be precise! No problem with cocking and clean fire, but once on safe, the play will engage the sear and upon releasing the safety, the pin fires along with it....and boom. That would make for a terrible day. The first trigger is shot but won’t make that mistake 2x. Installed on a MkII .25-06 Lefty.
Pros:
- 1.5 lb pull and very drop in
Cons:
- Better be 100% precise!! Watch videos!
Best Used for:
- Range and hunting

ruger m77 trigger
Trigger is OK there has to be a little bit of gunsmithing work to make the safety work. I put it on an older heavy barreled Ruger M 77. 22 PVC I think it’ll be a great combination haven’t got out to use it yet. Trigger should work without the safety but I will probably get the safety working with a little bit of grinding and a Dremel tool
