This is probably the most important upgrade you can make for a Savage Axis rifle without the accutrigger. I have installed Timney triggers on both of my Savage Axis rifles and this cured the only significant substandard feature on these guns. This trigger had a crisp feel and is easily installed

This trigger is better than stock but could have been better. When installing this trigger I noticed that it fits very loose. I grabbed a set of feeler gauges and found that I had .030in side to side movement. When setting the trigger to 1/6 turn back the gun would fire with side movement of trigger...

It wouldn’t work in my gun. The gun would still fire while being on safety. Couldn’t get it adjusted where it wouldn’t not go off while being on safety. That’s why I sent it back for a refund

Great upgrade.

I have a Axis 2 Pro. The stock trigger would not adjust below 3.5 lbs.
This trigger was easy to install. I had to spend some time adjusting it. It now breaks a 1 lb. Just buy it.

Timney Triggers Savage Axis/Edge Trigger

The Savage Axis 270 stock trigger was breaking at a healthy 6#2oz.-6# and replacing it with this Timney trigger was able to get a awesome clean breaking consistent 3# trigger per the trigger pull gauge but so awesome it feels alot lighter than the actual 3# trigger measurement.

Good trigger

Works well. Reduces the trigger pull significantly but the only thing is there is a lot of slack in the trigger now. But if you are trying to make your Tigger much nicer this will definitely do it.It easy very easy to install and to remove the old one. The whole installation took about 15 minutes and you have to be careful to not lose the spring.
