the ball adjuster / lock does not lock down the vise tight enough.With the rifle clamped by the stock area and you are working on the barrel / muzzle area the gun tends to tip and move no matter how hard you lock the ball down.Not good if you are trying to do some hard torquing and you need stabiliz...

very nice vice

This is a very strong and well built vice. I wouldn't necessarily try to install an ar barrel with it and risk it but it goes great along with my larger vice.

Tipton 360 vise.

I have no idea how I made it this long without this vise. I purchased this vise just for a Kibler Woodsrunner rifle kit I have on order. While I’m waiting on my rifle to be shipped to me I’ve been using it for my other projects, haven’t used my other vise since. Very good and sturdy vise. It is the extra set of hands I’ve needed so many times.

Very dynamic vice and easy to use. Works great for scope, mounting and other gun accessories. Only thing I wish it would come with some bench mounts or bolts to mount to a bench.

Gun vise for gun work

Love it. Lightweight. Covers for most gunsmithing tasks. Easily moved and stored. Nice size.
Pros:
  • Light weight, sturdy for size. Handles 99% of tasks needing a vise. Would recommend to others.
Cons:
  • Not a 6 inch vise, but huge in hands free support.
Best Used for:
  • Pretty much for anything requiring a 3 inch vise for gun work.

Tipton 360 Vise

Vise is much more solid than I anticipated. The tilting locking handle, although plastic, does seem to engaged securely and lock objects without “creep” or movement. Keep in mind the intended use. This is a gun vise …. Not an anvil. Use accordingly.
