I have read reviews and found that this vise fits my needs. I was able to mount with C clamps on my bench, and it is very solid. Have used it several times and it is holding up flawlessly.

The Gun Vice

Very dynamic vice and easy to use. Works great for scope, mounting and other gun accessories. Only thing I wish it would come with some bench mounts or bolts to mount to a bench.

Gun vise for gun work

Love it. Lightweight. Covers for most gunsmithing tasks. Easily moved and stored. Nice size.
Pros:
  • Light weight, sturdy for size. Handles 99% of tasks needing a vise. Would recommend to others.
Cons:
  • Not a 6 inch vise, but huge in hands free support.
Best Used for:
  • Pretty much for anything requiring a 3 inch vise for gun work.

Got a great deal on Black Friday month.only used a couple of times but seems well built and very functional and useful!! I love the option bolt down or mobile with c- clamp. Just as advertised.Thanks optics planet for the seasonal sale.Been waiting for awhile and well worth it.

Tipton 360 Vise

Vise is much more solid than I anticipated. The tilting locking handle, although plastic, does seem to engaged securely and lock objects without “creep” or movement. Keep in mind the intended use. This is a gun vise …. Not an anvil. Use accordingly.

Tipton 360 vise issue

At first I was impressed with the vise but once I started using it for different tasks on my AR I found that the ball adjustment knob would not tighten down enough to keep the rifle in the vise from moving. That could be a problem if you’re trying to torque or break torque on your rifle. Also found that if you have a long barrel rifle and you have it clamped down by the magazine and working near the front of the rifle it tends to tilt the rifle because theres not enough pressure on the ball adjustment

  • Tilt adjustment knob will not tighten enough to keep rifle from moving

extremely useful, well built.

Great design, very portable. I like the base plate as you can put this on a table or countertop to do the basic stuff to a rifle. And if you are installing a barell or torqing to spec just clamp it down down.

The rubber blocks and red honecomb blocks are very nice and do not mark up your firearm.

Ball joint locks down very easily and is very sturdy.

Highly recommend.
