I never thought I would use a mat for cleaning my weapons; notmally used an old shirt, etc. I bought the mat and really like using it a alot. i can strip down both weapons and have plenty of room to clean both of them and reassembly them also. I only thing I should have done was to have ordered the larger one; just to have the extra room for the necessary tools.

Good Cleaning Mat
This is a nice little mat. Lots of cushion to prevent damaging parts while disassembly and cleaning. Keeps solvent and oil from leaking through to the table below. I would recommend this mat to anyone looking for something portable and affordable.

Tipton Gun Mat
Nothing fancy, does what it is supposed to do. Has a tight weave fabric material top and a cushioned neoprene backing. Like a big mousepad. I'd buy it again. Washable and provides plenty of surface area for pistol cleaning.

Though I have not used the mat yet I am happy with what I've seen. The edges are nicely bound and it is long enough to hold my Mosin. It is flexible enough to roll to a convenient size yet roll out flat.

Cushioned protection
This is a nice quality mat with sufficient cushioning to protect the firearm and the table top. The length and width are sufficient. The photo indicates the mat is a light gray; it is actually a medium to darker gray color. The color is light enough for easy view of the gun parts. I also recommend the smaller mat (12"x24") for pistol cleaning.

These work great & are very useful to keep all your parts or what ever project your working on organized & great at absorbing oils. Also makes a great mat to take to the range. Just roll it up & go.

Quality mat
