Great for Lead Removal

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on July 16, 2012
I have used this product for several years to polish rifle and pistol bores after using cast bullets. Does an excellent job of lead and carbon removal. Also polishes up the bore to a brilliant shine and makes viewing with a bore scope an easy task. As warning indicates, do not use on blued or case colored metal surfaces...will remove bluing and case color.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: None
Would recommend: Yes

Good as it gets

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on February 5, 2012
Use as directed it will get that pistol or rifle bore clean and bright. For heavy lead deposits, first use a tight patch with pure gum turpintine. That will grab and pull lead from a badly leaded bore. Gun cloth will finish the job and leave a bright polished bore. It is an extremely mild abresive that removes a couple molecules of metal...that is why the patch gets black after running it through the bore. Don't over do it...couple of passes through the bore gets the job done.
Pros: Does the Job
Cons: None
Would recommend: Yes
