The 22lr snap caps do more harm than good - Tipton Snap Cap Rifle

I used the Tipton 22LR snap caps to test feed, extraction, and trigger function on my new 10/22 custom build. After successfully running 10 snap caps through my gun a couple of times, the rim sheared off one of the caps rendering it un-extractable. Of course, I didn't immediately realize what had happened, so I pulled the charging handle two more times causing a double feed and jamming the rimless cap tightly into the chamber. I'm sure there wasn't any damage but I wasn't happy about running a cleaning rod down the muzzle of my brand new match grade barrel and having to give it a couple of firm hammer taps to dislodge the busted cap. The other snap caps were showing fatigue cracks and very deep indentations from firing pin strikes so I abandoned the testing. Tipton probably makes great snap caps, but the 22LR are junk.
