Used many different tipton champerings for my 45, 9mm and 38special guns in past, but after a few hits in my 38 revolver 1 out of 6 crack and fell apart. The tipton 45acp and 9mm ones are to looose in deminsion. they end up too deep in chamber, the firing pin hardly touches them. Pastic rim will not hold up. The A-Zoom brand I use now. Way better fit , true to chamber size, and primer bumper is replaceable, Get A-Zoom

I purchased these from this store, Opticsplant.com. They arrived pretty quickly. I am a gun novice. But I wonder if all I needed was one cap to test my hammer pin strike. So I did, used only one and luckily it hit center. It was my own test for my gun. Plus I used a laser bullet to see that it was aligned through the barrel. After much time or use, if and when I feel it needs the test, I can do it again. Then I can re use real ammo. I used my above snap cap once, after I obtained a new weapon, and before I placed and shot a real bullet, to be sure the pin strikes ok. It gave me much peace of mind, especially separately using the laser in the cylinder. As for this product, great value. My only wish was that it was all metal on the outside, brass even better. I had done one evening's online search of articles and videos, and this brand rated very well. They warned to be careful not to have plastics break apart in small tiny pieces which can dirty a weapon and need a good cleaning, hence , better off all metal snap cap. But this plastic one worked so well, smooth and fast, that it seemed very clean. I am very happy with this snap cap. Now, I have a set of six testers. Center rear is metal, and the hammer pin hits it, when the pin works well.
