Most Helpful Positive Review perfect

Im not sure how long they will last but the first ones I bough tare almost 12 months old with no prob...

Most Helpful Negative Review 2 1/2 inch
These are very well made products and I own several calibers of them. The problem with the 12 gauge ones is that they are 2 and 1/2 inches, not 2 and 3/4 inches or 3 inches like most of the shotgun shells you would typically use. This leads to some misfeeds when you are practicing cycling your shotg...

Does Not Work

by Jim, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on August 30, 2020
I have a Browning over/under shot gun and these snap caps will not allow my gun to close fully. They look to be well made but are shorted then typical shells 2". They do not work for my gun, maybe will work for others?

Wrong size and material!

by Wm Palmer, from SC, United States Written on May 24, 2020
As another reviewer noted, these are "short" and do not feed properly in all forearms. They work in some firearms ,some of the time...that is about it. Also, the material is plastic on the base...really? I mean, feed plastic through the steel feed tubes, lifter ,ejector and other mechanisms for loading a pump or semi auto and they get chewed up in no time. Poor design, cheap materials. Better to have someone yo know load you a few "dummy" shells, that will work appropriately!!

Tipton Snap Cap

by MBaer, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 24, 2018
These snap caps work flawlessly, I have run them through my Mossberg 590 Shockwave several times with no issues. I love the spring that actually moves the striker when the firing pin hits it relieving stress on the pin.
Best Used for:
  • practice

Snap Cap Failure

by ruwa, from MA, United States Written on October 23, 2015
This Tipton Snap Cap bound-up my 12ga. every time I attempted to rack the pump. It is a plastic piece of unusable garbage It is too soft to use for the intended advertised purpose. The base should, at lease be made of brass. My gun chewed it up to the point of not being returnable for credit. Please don't sell this kind of garbage.
Pros:
  • Pretty out of the box
Cons:
  • Doesn't work as advertised
Best Used for:
  • Display, doesn't function but looks good
