Took 5 months to receive this item.
Blade arrived with a slight warp, but did not want to wait another 5 months for a replacement.
Be sure to read and understand the numbers in the description, handle is exactly as described which is pretty short. The weight is heavy due to the thickness of the blade but well balanced and begs to be used, but maybe not for slicing tomatoes.
Modifications made to make knife better for my needs:
Heel of blade seems to be for a finger for finer control, added some jimping for added grip.
Spine of blade looks better polished up.
Sharpened edge to 19 degrees which seems to be too fine for use, the edge just won't hold so put a 22 degree duplex edge. Much better but took a while, would say hardness is about 59, I've been spoiled with the knives I have made being a bit harder.
Paracord for a lanyard, removed some of the center cordage out so could be a knot free.
Gently rounded the sharp edges on the acrylic grip, sharp edges belong on the blade, not the handle.
Remove a slight piece of leather from the sheath to open the throat so knife slips in a bit easier.
I am convinced that this is a true full tang Damascus blade.
All in all spent about 3 days modifying this knife which was fun for me but others may be put off. The only reason for the 4 stars was the delivery time, and the warp. I am not taking the chance of breakage by trying to fix the warp in a vise and it seems to be a picky visual distractant, that is not interfering with us...
