Most Helpful Positive Review Wow nice optic!
This really surprised me in a good way. Trijicon out did themselves. The optics are crystal clear as you would expect but the weight, or lack of, is amazing on this compact. It mounts up very nicely with an FS 2000 using a LaRue mount. Great scope and highly recommend for a bullpup configuration...

Most Helpful Negative Review RTR reticle is terrible
Unlike the BAC reticle on my 4x; this one the circle and tree are not illuminated. I have another TA44 with the ring and it’s amazing. Thought I’d try this reticle and it’s complete garbage for target acquisition, barely impossible to see the tree or even the dot. The illuminated dot is also not ...

Rock solid, high clarity red/green dot alternative

by Michael Ryan, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on May 14, 2025
Like anything that’s top tier, this is an expensive optic for what it is. That being said, what it is, is great. It’s Trijicon quality, great glass clarity, holds zero, easily zeroed, top tiered short range focused and a great option with a CQ geared SBR, rifle caliber pistol, or sub platform. It’s meant for both eye open operation and has no place on a bench shooting target practice. If you’re an operator or running tactical pits, or anything similar, don’t hesitate to drop the coin if you’re interested in this optic for the described situations.
Pros:
  • great glass
  • Holds zero
  • solid construction
  • both eyes open
  • easy on/off
  • no batteries
  • Fast Target Acquisition
  • astigmatism friendly
  • easy zeroing
  • fits small platforms
  • mount height
Cons:
  • Quality Costs More
Best Used for:
  • CQB
  • short range applications
  • SBRs
  • Rifle Caliber Pistols
  • folks with astigmatism

Excellent mini ACOG

Best optic money can buy. Nothing tops the clarity and eye relief of an ACOG

Great Glass

by GeneralKenobiWins, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on March 2, 2025
Thos 1.5x is what I prefer over a red dot. I dont much like the tint in a red dot, and I wanted a non-Chinese made CQB optic with clear glass. This is a great optic for CQB especially the circle dot model. I love it

Defective acog

by Cartrell Burroughs, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on November 9, 2024
I've been looking for one of these for a few years. Prior to getting out the Army, I went from using a SAW/249 to going to a M/4 w/Acog. I met someone at a range with this smaller version of the 1.5x16. I recall that it has the black horse shoe with the red dot aling with small range numbers, although it was not large as the acog in service, it was not hard to read and was easy to place on target. Immediately fell in lobe with it. Wrote down the model to remember. Fast fwd, I've been able to order my own, but mines is nearly impossible to see nor does the red dot display much. I am assuming there is a defect and require a replacement.
Pros:
  • Smaller version of the military grade acog
Cons:
  • This item must have a defect. The optic glass is super clear, however you can barely detect the red dot and the numbers are microscopic in size smaller than whats written on the outside of the device.
Best Used for:
  • Small arms sbr

Prism Red Dot with BDC

by kgriff8, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on May 15, 2024
I took a chance on this optic because I loved my ACOG. I wanted a smaller and lighter optic that acted more like a red dot, but wasn’t dependent on batteries. Had I waited another few months, I probably would have purchased the Primary Arms 1x as there is a significant price difference. However, the build quality and glass clarity are amazing and I don’t regret the purchase.
Pros:
  • light weight
  • battery free
  • Bright clean dot even if you have an astigmatism
  • 1.5x gives the slightest magnification
Cons:
  • 1.5x can take some getting used to at close range with quick transitions
  • Red dot center is less precise than chevron or crosshairs
Best Used for:
  • 50-300 yards

Amazing As Always

by Beezer, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on January 24, 2024
Classic Trijicon product. Excellent glass, very durable. This one has an amazing eye relief compared to other ACOGS. Using the shorter fiber optic tube this is better than most ACOGS in bright daylight.
Pros:
  • eye relief
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • CQB

DEMO model TA44

by Chris Roenker, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on August 30, 2023
I needed a TA44 to experiment on and this was a good price. The Tritium was dead but that didn't matter to me because I am adding a REM ACOG LED illuminator to this so it will illuminate the Reticle in all light conditions.
The sight itself is very small but the glass is very clear like all ACOGs. I was surprised at how small the numbers were on the etched glass I couldn't read them. So this basically is a red dot but it is only powered by the fiber optic. The fiber optic is very small so it doesn't collect a lot of light as the TA33 or TA31 or any other ACOG. This definitely needs a battery powered LED to illuminate the Reticle.
Pros:
  • clear glass
  • rugged
  • very small and light
Cons:
  • small numbers on etched glass
  • Small fiber optic
Best Used for:
  • CQB
Would recommend: Yes
